On June 2, 2018, the annual General Assembly of the European Association of the Animal Databases EuroPetNet was held in Berlin (Germany). There were 50 databases from 26 countries in Europe among the members. During the event the policy for the identification and registration of animals at the international level was formed.

We presented projects that we have implemented in Eastern Europe in recent years at the event:
- automation of the municipal veterinary-sterilization center in Lviv (Ukraine);
- implementation of the city register of pets and stray animals in Lviv (Ukraine),
- automation of municipal and private shelters.

In addition, we have discussed the global challenges facing the association and announced the launch of a united international animal database on  innovative blockchain technology.

Next year the General Assembly of EuroPetNet will be held in Lviv, Ukraine for the first time and Animal ID team is thrilled to be one of the main hosts.
